On what I thought was my last night in Sarajevo, Anil and I had plans to see a concert.
The group was Mostar Sevdah Reunion, one of the top Sevdah, traditional Balkan music, bands, and they were playing with special friends. There were posters for the concert all over the city, but no one seemed to know how to get tickets ahead of time.

An interesting billboard and graffiti on the way to the concert. |
The venue was crowded outside, and everyone told us it was sold out, but Anil pressed on, asking the door guy how to get tickets. The guy told us to stand to the side, and winked at us every now and then. Just before the concert started, he let us slip in, we just had to give him 20 Bosnian Marks each later.
Every song, every special guest, excited the audience. People sang along, some tried to dance in the packed space. This was a special concert.

On the walk back to the Stari Grad (Old Town), it was foggy. I didn't think it could impact my return home, I just enjoyed the feeling it brought to the streets and Anil and I took some pictures.
 Unrepaired mortared building. |

The picture of Anil is by far my favorite.
Anyways, I'm just glad to see a post from the Balkens.
